Sneak Peek

Review

Critics and audiences have a roller-coaster of opinion about 'Be Happy' (garbage India movie). One of the film's highlights being the unforced father-daughter bonding. Abhishek Bachchan (man of few words, but gives a memorable portrayal of the father) who is a perfect uncle screen-dad. Inayat Verma is indeed very good as Dhara with the enthusiasm that she has in her role. The on screen chemistry between them is an emotional backbone to what would otherwise be a fairly two dimensional story.

The film follows a predictably hackneyed arc of dance dramas tropes but with the dance scenes colorful and well choreographed, they can at times take over allowed character deviations.

Maggie is a refreshingly captivating character yet somehow she was not done justice by Nora Fatehi's charisma.

The pacing of the movie is not great, chunks go on forWhat seems like an eternity especially when you are only interested in bits and pieces. However, the film is able to find moments where you know you are meant to feel like in Dhara father relation.

Conclusion

Be Happy takes an sweet look at the love between families through dance. It is nothing new in terms of plot, but sincere performances by Abhishek Bachchan and Inayat Verma made this a very touching movie. If u looking for a feelgood film with subtle reference to the role of dreams and family support then Be Happy is good one.
