Nathan Caine (Jack Quaid), assistant manager of bank in a steady one-step-forward, two-steps-back sort of way because you don't want to do anything that might hurt because he was the only person born with congenital insensitivity to pain. When his coworker and girlfriend Sherry( Amber Midthunder), is abducted in a bank robbery that Simon(signed with Ray Nicholson) coerced it.
Nathan is determined to save up his kidnapped love interest Sherry, and begins a dangerous mission that takes advantage with his condition to fight against enemies of dangerous level in a series of violent confrontations.
Action genre in Novocaine" ups the ante again by having you root for an anti-hero that does not feel pain and, therefore creates insane situations of agile madness. Jack Quaid gives a riveting performance that perfectly depicts the both the scaredy cat-like side of Nathan. The action set pieces in the film are very intense and deftly choreographed, though some might say it becomes too bloody. The plot is interesting enough but the answer to all the problems at first seemed a bit too contrived and the nThis prevents us from giving it a must watch, even though the film is funny and somewhat entertaining because of the dynamic between action fanbase.
Quaid has great lead, is mesmerizing in the role of Jack in a most original performance 'Novocaine' A film doomed for a more limited audience specifically for its bizarre action / dark comedy, but it is a refreshing change on all fronts. If you are looking to watch a movie filled humour and action starring some great actors; then Novocaine is very worth your time!
